Posted by Dave Rinehart THANKS!!!!!!!!! Your sculpin pattern killed them in Alaska just like it does on the Grand. They took it on the fly and ripped off backing. Only black worked though. White and olive repulsed them, they actually shyed away from them. Black they liked. They short-striked the fly a lot, but I just dropped the rod tip to let it float back and they took it on the run! It's neat when they SLAM your fly swinging through the water. Thanks again for the pattern. [Tim ties a quick sculpin with a zonker strip for tail and body, black wool for a head with some red in the first hank of wool for gills. Quick fly to tie and quite effective.] I have some neat memories of 36" steelies slamming your pattern. Thanks for the memories. Dave
