Words cannot express how much all of your stories, pictures and kind words about Tim have meant to my family. We ALL suffered a great loss together. There will never be another Tim Hay, but his legend will live on. Not so much for racing but for who and what he was and stood for. A family man to the core, a best friend forever and man who was able to take his passion for racing and share it with so many people. We all lost a treasure but God gained a special angel.
While we all mourn my husband's death just remember Tim was never a quitter and would expect all racers to continue your passion as he did his. We knew the risk involved and I was told to prepare myself, that it wasn't a question of if he was going to wreck, but when. I loved my husband enough to let him live his dream of trying to get a 3 second pass. He won because I will bet you it took him 3 seconds or less to get to heaven. It's a long hard road ahead of me and I will have many last moments and first moments of things that I have become accustomed to having him by my side for.
Tim was larger than life and will be missed so very very much. If you were one of the lucky ones to have him in your life then you know what a treasure he was. While we miss his laughter and great smile, he is now sharing these things with his new family upstairs. Just look who we now have to greet us when it's our time to cross over the pearly gates.
May God be with you all and give everyone the strength to continue life as Tim would have it.
