I dont know if youre legitimately puzzled or making a point about the absurdity of Vince McMahon's vendetta against the Ultimate Warrior.
Naturally, the Ultimate Warrior belongs in the Hall of Fame. There's a long-running dispute between Warrior and Vince, though. I dont know exactly what its about. Warrior quit the WWF with no notice a few times. That might be part of the problem. Also, the WWF tried to trademark the name "Ultimate Warrior", but the Ultimate Warrior changed his legal name to Warrior. And there was a subsequent lawsuit over the ownership of the name that Warrior won.
A few years ago, the WWE put out an insulting Ultimate Warrior sort of documentary DVD. Warrior refused to take part and he refuses to have anything to do with the WWE. I dont know where this all started, but there's certainly a feud, if that's the proper word.
As for your list of wrestlers, yeah Koko B Ware might not be worthy of induction. And Mr Fuji...I dont know. He was a wrestler before he was a manager, of course. But I don't know how successful he was. Its way before my time and I haven't really looked into his matches. Not that many matches from the 70s and earlier even exist.
Mr Perfect...well, he's not on par with the Ultimate Warrior but he was pretty big. When he first came in and had that 200+ win streak, that was huge. The momentum really grew. "When would somebody finally beat him" the kids as school and I would ponder. Plus, he got the Intercontinental belt and had it for quite a while. I bet Koko B Ware got the title too, though.
But Ricky Steamboat? He was massive. Big in the early Vince McMahon WWF and even bigger in his earlier NWA days. Calling him the Ultimate Warrior of the early 1980s is probably an understatement. So he's certainly worthy of an induction.
I vaguely remember a match he had with George The Animal Steele. I might just be imagining that, though. But yeah, he was huge. Ricky Steamboat, I mean. Although, Mr Steele should probably be in the Hall of Fame as well (perhaps he is).
