Hulk Hogan signed with TNA on the 28th of October. Thats huge news. What a massive coup for TNA. They were near bankruptcy, I thought.
And as for Hogan, he's been having a lot of personal problems. His wife left him, got possession of the house, and is banging the 22 or something year old pool boy. His son got arrested a few years ago for drunk driving which resulted in a death of this son's friend. And his daughter is...I dont know...a prostitute or something.
He was apparently on Larry King recently as very depressed. He's been through a lot for the past few years so no surprise. He also sympathised with OJ Simpson a few months ago saying that he understood how one could kill one's wife.
So I'm surprised he's getting back into wrestling. But he needs the money, I guess.
Anyway, Wikipedia confirms all of this. Here's the video of the signing:
Also, this dude who's probably not at his ideal healthy body weight confirms it as well.
MAN, does that hick go on and on. He needs to write scripts and stick to it. Not word for word scripts, but you know...outlines.
Here's a bonus Hogan video:
I was also watching the 1993 Hulk Hogan versus Great Muta video earlier. You can find that one yourself. Its common Hogan knowledge that he worked differently in Japan than in the US. He did a lot of technical wrestling as opposed to all the theatrics and "hulking up" that he does in US matches.
And...well, it's true that he does more technical wrestling in the Japanese matches but hes certainly no Dean Malenko. His style is still pretty basic in Japan. But yeah, he clearly does try to introduce some technical moves to his limited arsenal and its kind of interesting, I guess. He obviously knows the moves but just doesnt like doing them.
