Well...I've seen the people who live around here. They don't seem to be independantly wealthy. So if they can afford to live here, surely I can as well. So that's something to ponder.
Anyway, Mad Max 3 is on in 10 minutes. Man, they must have shown the original Mad Max two weeks ago. Missed it.
I fell asleep during Mad Max 2 last week anyway. It was around the time they were going to leave that outpost with the tanker of oil (well, sand really. There, I just "spoiled" a 30 year old movie). And there's that big chase scene.
The action scenes bore me. I'd like to see a more intellectual Mad Max. Flesh out the story rather than just *pew pew* ahhhhhhhhhhhh dudes in assless chaps stuff.
Something like Failsafe or Panic in the Year Zero. But those take place before the atomic attack or shortly after. I'd like to see an intellectual film that takes place some time after a nuclear holocaust.
