I hear that. No, wait. Well, actually that does remind me of a fascinating tale of my own.
As a kid, my mother's crazy friend and their family would come over on occassion. Not often. But they had a daugter who was a couple years younger than me. I'd get annoyed because when it was time for them to go, she'd just up and leave. Didn't clean up the toys that we would be playing with. So I'd be left doing it.
So one day, I thought I'd get the jump on this by writing a note saying something like "please help pick up the toys before you leave". I was so proud of my idea that I showed my sister this note. She was horrified by the notion, took the note away and said that if I wrote another one, she'd tell our mother.
I was pretty steamed though because its outrageous to come into somebody's home, make a mess, and then leave. But what could I do? Nothing. So that was that. I just cleaned up.
Her parents got divorced a couple years later. And she actually moved in with the father. That gives some indication about how wacky the mother was.
The father was Jewish and on their first Christmas, there was just a stuffed bear given as a gift. I remember my mother and this girl's mother being outraged by this. But the dude was Jewish for ####s sake. And the daughter was half-Jewish.
I mean, of course Jewishness is passed on through the mother in Judaism. But genetically, she was half-Jewish. In as much as Jewishness is a race or indeed the concept of "race" even exists.
So yeah, didn't see her after they got divorced. My mother is still friends with her mother, though. Its a pretty ####ed up family. This woman later married the assistant principal at my high school. That dude was a total cock. Pervert too.
Anyway, yeah this girl got married a few months ago. Good for her.
