Was browsing the abysmal UK Yankee forum recently. Its almost all women there. From the South. Who married desperate English guys.
Anyway, theres a post about whether or not three months notice period is legal.

The great minds there all say that it is legal "because that's what you agreed to".
No, dumbasses. Doesnt work that way. That could very well be an unenforceable and illegal contract. And it sounds like it to me because one month is standard in this shit country. Two weeks is standard in the US, by the way. And my personal standard is two minute notice.
Imagine somebody signing a contract that said they can never quit or ask for more money or indeed receive any money at all. Would these legal scholars at UK Yankee really say, "Well, you signed the contract. Totally legal then".
That a clear example of an unenforceable contract. You can't put illegal things in a binding contract. It would be like coming up with a contract for a narcotics deal. You agree to supply whatever quantity of heroin for whatever price. All nice and tidy and detailed on a contract. Then one party fails to live up to their obligation. You cant ####ing take them to court over that. Yeah, the guy broke the terms of the contract but it was an illegal proposition in the first place.
I wouldnt mind doing some civil law steno-ing. Too much murder and rape crap. They just go on forever and you get tired of hearing the same god damn evidence over and over again. I wouldnt mind doing some lesser criminal cases either. Like a dude stealing a bicycle or whatever.
You know who enjoyed bicycling? This dude:
