Hmm . . . didn't Richey's parents own their on hairdressing business? That would make his upbringing solidly middle-class. And at the time that interview took place, it's not like they were slaving at the coal face or something. They were budding rockstars, with quite a lot of money behind them - generally spoilt and pampered ('Oh, i'm bored - I think i'll take the limo down to soho and max out my gold card'), as Edwards admitted a few times, and presumably at least as well off as Steve Lamacq.
