Here's what he apparently said on a recent edition of Letterman:
'Former Prime Minister Tony Blair has defended his decision to go to war with Iraq and said that terrorism is a worldwide "menace".
Speaking in the US on the David Letterman show, Blair said that removing Saddam Hussein had made the world a safer place.
The former Labour leader received applause from the audience when he said, "it was right my country stood side by side, shoulder to shoulder with America," following the 11 September terrorist attacks.
"I think that both our countries together have got to unite in order to defeat this menace. And it is a menace, and it's not confined, I'm afraid to Iraq or Afghanistan. It's worldwide, it's real and it's got to be defeated."'.

He's a shameless, barefaced liar. The invasion of Iraq hasn't made the world 'a safer place' at all. Overlooking the fact that it's killed or displaced 20% of Iraq's population, and certainly hasn't made them safer, it simply made the radical Islamist terror threat much, much worse. And for the long term as well. That's according to both British and U.S. Intelligence.
What's more, he *knew* the invasion would make the terror threat worse when he embarked on it, because the Joint Intelligence Committee had told him so in February 2003.
And I bet Letterman never even challenged him on his blatant fabrications.
It's not just that he's a liar either. It's that he tells lies in the service of mass murder and war cimes, and is f*cking lauded for doing so in some quarters. He shouldn't be getting interviewed by Letterman - he should be getting interviewed by prosecutors in the Hague.
