Sitting at home for the past 3 days seems like ages. The hours just drag on. And this includes liberal amounts of nap time. I'm going to go to work tomorrow even though I'm still rather ill. I have to see this flat tomorrow anyway.
Speaking of which, I called this letting agent today. No ####ing answer. Really bad sign.
So then I called the mobile of this guy who's going to show the flats. He answered and I posed the question to him. He said £130 for admin fees. And first month's rent and another month's rent.
That seems alright. I mean, you hear some crazy stories about these agency fees. I didnt quite understand that two month rent thing, though. I assume that one month is a deposit which is...you know...standard. But if that's the case, why did he even mention that? Thats not a fee. Its a deposit. You get it back at the end (though of course its often a struggle).
But yeah, nobody answering the phone is a very bad sign. Theyre obviously hiding. From everybody. This is a point I'll have to raise with this guy.
