I've been thinking about this blog crap. You know, how this girl wants me to write "postive" articles.
I think Im going to tell her that I'm not going to do it. I mean, I don't have any positive experiences from meeting people off the internet. And the posts I sent and the original ad that got their attention were all overwhelmingly negative. So they cant now say "ok, we want positive articles".
My experiences are also rather common. People who use the internet for dates are very often...a bit off.
I assumed when they offered me the work that they wanted me to write because I have a great writing style and the stories are of a humorous nature. But no. They just want corporate shills who will promote the website.
I dont think I can do that. I dont even like the site. And the dude recently banned me (and loads of other people...even those who have been there for years...even moderators) from the forum. He doesnt know he banned me, but yeah Im banned. No reason for it. Loads of quality contributors got banned for reasons that totally escape me (and everybody else on the forum).
The site is also full of scam ads. Its unusuable now.
So I dont want to write articles saying "oh, I met so many great women off of here, you should try it too!". It would be totally false. My integrity cant be bought for ####ing £20 a post.
Also, I dont think its a good forum for my work because they absolutely butcher my posts anyway. I'd be embarassed to show these posts to any prospective employer because theyre just really bad. The originals are alright (but not great) but after all their editing...I cant show this crap.
Theres also very little communication. I just dont want to do it anymore. The oppressive editing and now this "positive" crap. #### off. If I can't be creative and write witty stuff that won't be heavily censored, then forget it. I mean, editing stuff is one thing...but they also ADD STUFF IN. And really poorly-written stuff. I asked around on some blog sites and that's not normal. They shouldnt be doing that.
So yeah, I think Im done with that shit. If I just work on my own blog for a bit, I should be able to get some guest blogging work with another site no problem.
