And as I was putting my ####ing jeans back on, he asked if I went to see a dermotologist. This was what I went to this doctor months earlier for and they said they cant do anything and to see a private dermotologist.
So I told this guy that I called and asked for a price and that the price given was £800 and Im not going to pay that. He didnt seem to think £800 was unreasonable so I went on to say that Im from the US and even there you can get it done for less than that. He said, "Do you think so?" in a patronizing manner and I said, "Certainly. I'd say $400 which is like £300". To appease me, he said "yeah, it is a lot of money".
So he said, "what are you going to do?". I thought this was one of those rhetorical questions. You know, somebody talks about an injustice...like...I dont know...a store refuses to honor their refund policy...and you say, "well, what are you going to do?".
Its not something that you answer. Its like saying, "You cant fight City Hall".
But no, this dude wanted an answer. So he repeated the question. I said, "Oh. Yeah, Im not going to do it. It's not that big a deal to pay £800". He said "yeah, I guess that's the sort of balance you have to apply".
What a dickhead. What universe is this dude living in where £800 for ridiculously minor surgery is reasonable?
