As I pointed out above, it was Vanity Fair, which is regarded as a politics and lifestyle magazine, and not Vogue. And it was an article based on first hand interviews with senior Bush administration officials, and which has been confirmed by two other sources independently of each other. Namely The Guardian, and the U.S. Military's Instittute Of Staretgic Studies.
So it's not me who's looking like a complete know-nothing idiot right about now.
