You know, I've gone almost 31 years without drinking a Dr Pepper. The beverage always made me wary. I dont know why. Maybe its the "Dr" connection. Or the "Pepper". Who wants a pepper-flavored drink? I also thought that it wasnt a cola. So it was just some kind of weird shit and I stayed well clear.
But I was in Subway today and they were sold out of...well, basically everything drink-wise. So I said "Dr Pepper, please" when I created my meal deal.
You know, its not bad. Its a cola, I guess but has a slight cherry smell and taste. I have no idea what Cherry Dr Pepper must taste like. Or if such a drink even exists (but I think it does).
Im not saying its the greatest carbonated beverage of all time. But its at least on par with Pepsi, Coke, and whatever those odd flavored drinks that exist in this shit country are. Im not really a soda guy so theyre all pretty much the same to me. But yeah, Dr Pepper is nothing to be afraid of.
