I think, perhaps if Bobby and Lindsay reunited and were driving in a car after picking up their son at pre-K (or whatever grade he's in)....then bobby jr spits up all over the car and they're all in a panic....and Bobby then accidently runs over Kendall, Eugene's son. Alan Shore comes in and says something inappropriate and smartass concerning Eugene's dead son which provokes Eugene to throw the judge's hammer at him. Eugene spazzes out and attacks Alan. He is banned from the courthouse and sent to prison. Later, it becomes learned that ROberta Kittleson had raped Kendall long ago while babysitting. She is put on trial and Lucy Hatcher is brought in from rape-crisis to help prepare Kendall's decomposing corpse for the grueling testimony and cross-examination which is inevitable. Meanwhile, Bobby is found not guilty and the episode fades out with him staring into the distance contemplating over how unjust life is. (with lindsay on his arm)

Someone posted a review or article here which mentioned that the practice as a series was over, but it could probably do well releasing a mini-series in a few years (or something like that).
Then, in a funny twist of irony, Eugene is appointed judge for the case where Bobby is charged for manslaughter. He tries to get himself recused, but since the authority figures in TP are always a**holes, they dont let him, despite the obvious conflicts. Also, Helen is brought back to try the case against Bobby becuase they think she knows his weaknesses best. Lindsay defends Bobby, but Eleanor steps in when Lindsay has an emotional breakdown.
