I just got this email in my college inbox. I was curious if somebody who knew about this stuff could help me out and tell me if tv shows also apply. I know downloading movies gets you in huge huge trouble, but what about Boston Legal episodes?

active role in seeking out and prosecuting individuals who are
downloading and sharing their copyrighted materials over the internet.
Under United States copyright law, lawyers representing the motion
picture and recording industries are issuing subpoenas to internet
service providers, including universities, seeking the names and
addresses of those suspected of violating federal copyright law.
