WHATS IS WHAT?

I need an answer quick! You know how there are several games for the Half-Life series. Well I would like to know what is Team Fortress and what does it do? There's Team Fortress1 and Team Fortress2, but what's the difference? Also which Half-Life games have the ability for you to create your own levels? There's Half-Life, Blue Shift, Counter Strike, Team Fortress1, and Team Fortress2, but I have a feeling there are other Half-Life games, is this true? One more thing, how do I get Team Fortress?
