I worked for Ag, up in the panhandle. Back then, they were the best bosses in the agency. They let you handle your business, gave you the tools to do your job, and had your back. I can remember one time I had an issue at one of the northern most units. I discussed it with my boss via phone from his office at the Central Unit. Next morning, I was in Amarillo, and who called me on the radio, my boss. He had driven most of the night, gone to the unit, corrected the issue and was on his way back home. If he hadn't seen me and called me, I would never had known he came up personally. The situation was resolved and never came up again. Yes sir, Ed Thomas was a BOSS. As was Brian Simmons. Steve Ball was pretty darn good too. Matt Demny was the Ag director and did the best he could what with budget issues and politics. I had understood the department went downhill after I left back in 2012. Not that my leaving made a bit of difference to anyone but me. Can you give some names of those of whom you speak? I know there are a lot of new faces in HV since I left.
