TDCJ Pay Raises

This year The Texas Legislature gave all TDCJ workers a 7% pay raise over 2 years. I read a State Rep. was outraged to read that TDCJ has given more money to Sgt.s, Lt.s, Cpt.s, Maj.s, and Wardens above the 7% CO's were given. Majors will be paid 8.5% and Wardens 6.5% each year that CO's will be receive only 3%. How did this happen? The TDCJ Board voted to reclassify salaries for our supervisors above and beyond what the Legislature intended that ALL TDCJ employees receive a 7% raise. TDCJ officers got a double slap in the face this year by the Token payraise and the selfish actions on the part of The TDCJ Board. How has all of this been kept so quiet?
