Very strange speech indeed. Regular people never get the "insider" stories/jokes etc, necessary to survive doing a job that you might not enjoy doing but do anyway. Same sort of stories/jokes happen in all job. Go ride with firefighters, EMS, police etc they all have gallows humor. The public never understands, but will raise all sort of righteous hell about the comments. Same thing happens within the walls. The speech would have gone over very well at a directors meeting !
