Usually the officers asking this are the ones who are the supervisors BIGGEST problem (John Wayne, write that case for the offender having a water bottle on his table while he's out of the cell) or the ones who have been there forever and have decided that they don't have to do crap to earn their money. Ya know, if you'd just worry about what YOU can control, you'd be much, much more happy.
