I am contemplating building my first tesla coil and was planning on building a small coil, hopefully something that can put out about 15 cm streamers. unfortunatley im on a tight budget and have no NST. I do have 2 high power car ignition coils though. Does anyone have any ideas on a suitible driver for a tesla coil that could be made with 2 car ignition coils, and would i be able to get that sort of output from such a set up. i also have an old microwave that could be cannabalised, but i dont want to be biting off more than i can chew, unless anyone has some ideas on precise current limition on a MOT.
