: I am interested in obtaining a copy or a source having a paper published
: either 1926 or 1927 by T.F. Wall in the Journal of Instrumentation and
: Electrical Engineers on the production of intense magnetic fields. Any
: help will be greatly appreciated.
: Hi Dave,
: Unfortunately, I don't have a copy of this paper. The journal in which it
: was published apparently was somewhat obscure, published in London, and
: I've been unable to locate any academic on-line literature database that
: contains it. A technical university librarian (in Great Britain?) may be
: able to help you locate a copy.
: There are some other contemporary articles and books authored by T. F.
: Wall that may be helpful. These include:
: “The Production of very Intense Magnetic Fields” (1924), TF Wall, Nature
: 114, 432 (20 September 1924)
: “Intense Magnetic Fields and the Disturbance of Electronic Orbits in
: Magnetic Materials”, Letters to the Editor, Nature 113, 568-568 (19 April
: 1924), http://www.nature.com/nature/journal/v113/n2842/pdf/113568a0.pdf
: Thomas Frederick Wall, “Textbook of Applied Magnetism”, Ernest Benn or D.
: Van Nostrand, 1927, 262pp, hardcover.
: “Breaking the Atom: Experiments at Sheffield. Dr. T. F. Wall explains his
: methods”, Evening Post, Volume CVIII, 15 November, 1924, Page 8:
: “The Atom’s Amazing Secret of Power near Solution?”, Popular Science
: Monthly, January 1925
: Good luck - if you happen to locate a copy of this paper, please let me
: Best wishes,
