Locating good energy discharge capacitors can be quite difficult.. and finding them close by is even more difficult. Because they are bulky and heavy, transportation can add significant cost even if the price of the caps is reasonable. These kind of caps appear from time to time on eBay, and that's where I originally found mine. Unfortunately, I do not have any that I can offer. I would be glad to help you with your design. BTW, I no longer use a triggered gap since I needed to use a wider voltage range than the Trigatron offered. I use a solenoid driven spark gap now, and it has proven to be robust and trouble free. Good luck on your hunt and your project! Best wishes, Bert
: Hi,
:
: I am a senior EE student in Michigan and I am working on a electromagnetic
: metalforming machine for my senior design project. I am looking for 1 or 2
: capacitors in the 10-20KJ range. I've seen a few on ebay, but they are all
: on the west coast. Any leads would be appreciated. Thanks, Jim
