Teddy and I went to see some Moroccan Gnawa performers in London this weekend, in the beautiful venue that is St Ethelburga's Centre for Reconciliation and Peace.
Beautiful, hypnotic, healing music and definitely not for sitting still to, as the lead singer was keen to demostrate! He had the whole room going, when he wasn't doing a decidedly Doyle-like hoar-flip, giggling merrily, or banging that drum! As soon as he bounded up front I said to our Motherhoar, "It's Alan's Moroccan twin!"
