In the thread below, some of us were lamenting the loss of those wonderful buried gems in albums, the songs that never make the Top 40, but somehow speak to you all the more powerfully for their hidden-ness.
What are yours?
Here are a few of mine:
"Buying Time" and "Something to It," Great Big Sea, UP
"Harmony," Elton John, Goodbye Yellow Brick Road (back
when he didn't suck)
"Gettin' in Tune," The Who, Who's Next
"Listen," Sophie B. Hawkins, Tongues and Tails
I'd like to include "Train in Vain" by the Clash, because it USED to be a hidden track that proved you owned London Calling (one of the world's best albums ever), but then commercial radio got a hold of it and it no longer has that lovely cache...though it does still rock, of course...
