Hey, nice new diggs! Like the PINK! Hope everyone had a great summer...
Hope this posts...in the eventuality that it does...here goes...
As I admitted to this bhoard, I recently purchased and iPod. A totally clean slate for music. I like that! Goodbye Rick Astley (WTF?), Hello Adam Ant (ha ha ha ha ha, he's good to work out to..) In any event, the night before I'm set to go to the cottage (or cabin if you are from the East, or Chalet, if you hail from La Belle Province) I realize I have no GBS. Not wanting to waste any time, I go for the shortcut...iTunes has a "GBS ESSENTIALS" for download. Beggars can't be choosers so I plug 'er in and have at em....
Alls fine and dandy on my five hour drive to the cottage/cabin/chalet until my neglected iPod reaches the GBS tunes and spews forth...

It seemed to me that the "essential" missed a lot of the earlier material. To be fair, I revisited iTunes and their "extended" package includes a lot of the earlier GBS material...but I guess my "essential" GBS material differs substantially from that ideal.
Without getting into a gushing conversation of GBS (er, I've met a lot of you and had great big discussions of GBS - GBD of GBS?) what I'd like to know is this....
Am I totally out of the loop...? I admit, I haven't been to a concert in a while, but, is the iTunes list indicative of what GBS currently offers to their audience? Anne? Any comments? Not to put you on the spot...but to get back to the "out of the loop" comment, I would have thought, of all of the "more current" stuff, "When I am King" would have been in there...so, just wondering if you had to put in five songs for the iTunes Essentials what would they be?

Just as a caveat...I know that GBS does not pick the tunes on iTunes and that this is not a conspiracy (in the alternative see SNL skit and "Palin"), but just wondering....
