White tends to become a little yellow at first and after years fade away almost completely. The more sun your tat will see the faster the pigments will vanish. The initial healing period will be the same for any other tattoo but after the scab peels away you will notice the tattoo looking pinkish under the ink... this pinkness is the lower layers of the skin continuing to heal...it will go away over time... usually 1-6 months.
in my opinion, its not that important that white changes, its the contrast to your skin colour that matters!
