Dear Hormuzd,
Good to hear from you (even though I am compelled to defend myself here)!
Not sure how you read my message but you have misread my meaning. No, I am not racist (at least not where I am aware of). I have an adopted brother just one month younger than I who is black and he would be really suprised to know if I was.
My feeling about Obama is that he is not qualified to hold the office of President of the United States of America. People here in the U.S. voted for change just for the sake of change. Not really bright I would say. Many other people voted for him because they thought it was time to have a black president. Voting for a presidential canididate because of his skin color is absurd. The meaning of my remark is that if we really needed a black president Condolezza Rice would have been perfect given her recent experience in politics. Rice also has an empecable educational resume and an expert on Russia and communism. I feel this experience would serve her well when dealing with China.
Heck, with Condi we could kill two birds with one stone because we would then have elected a black person who is female and this whole thing about America finally putting minorities in office could end this type of circus atmosphere. Being the President of the United States of America is serious business and we need intelligent people in that office and not those who get elected on "fist bumps".
Granted Obama is an effective speaker, and I hope this serves him and the rest of us here in the U.S. well. Now that he is in office I hope that I am wrong about his not being suited for the Office because he now represents all American's now while our security, both economically and physically directly related to how he performs his job.
Granted there are a few persoanl items about Obama that I don't care about: His remark about how if the economy where better than those white folks in Middle America would not hold onto "God and guns", as if those were bad things. That he was born of a muslim father and the ideology that he could bring in here with that sort of influence (yes, I am prejudice against Islam). Then there is the fiasco with his preacher and even though he has disavow him, I do not believe that his preachers view was some how a new revelation to Obama. So please forgive me if I seem a little worried about our choice of president.
Thank you for your compliment, coming from you is a high honor that I will remember.

: Did you like the comment made by

: Are you one of these blind and

: person, Like the present Iranians
: when they shout in the streets of

: Voting for someone who is black and
: unqualified is just brainless. Can't
: believe we just voted in someone who
: has made ant-American comments with
: a pastor who has done the same.
:
: If you had to vote for someone who
: is black and qualified, we should
: have waited for Condi Rice to run.
:
: Oh well, what is done is done! Now
: to support the new President when he
: takes office and hope for the best!
