Iran soon to launch an English TV channel
TEHRAN, Apr.20 (ISNA)-Iran plans to launch an English television and news channel, "Press TV" within 2 months.
Press TV has also set up a 24 hours active website and logos and clips of the channel are available on satellite.
Reporters have already begun their work in various parts of the world and news is accessible at the website: www.presstv.iv
The channel's programs are under production in Germany, Britain and Switzerland. Most of the program producers were elected from other countries.
Also the television hosts, elected from various parts of the world are currently in Tehran.
Overseas broadcast deputy for the Islamic Republic of Iran's radio and television organization, Mohammad Sarafraz stated that Iran was launching the channel in reaction to the negative news of U.S., European and even some regional channels regarding Iran.
Sarafraz expressed hope that Iran could convey its message to the people of the world via the channel.
