Hello... sorry not got back here sooner! Here's an update.
The Zippy Plus that I acquired, I gave to a friend, and she sent the carriage away to be fixed. She's up and running now - in fact we have started a little club (there's just 3 of us at present) in the North Manchester area. Between us, we have my Knitmaster 700K, the Zippy Plus and a chunky KH230.
We are very fortunate to meet in a smashing venue with a laptop that hooks up to a projector and a pull-down screen, so we can take advantage of all the amazing videos to be found here and elsewhere online. If there's anyone interested in coming along, we meet on Thursday mornings 9.30 - 12.30 in New Moston. Please mail me for more details.
