As for myself, I have been dealing with bone mets for about a year and a half. I’ve had several rounds of radiation and will finish up my latest round on Monday. My PETScan showed that the latest chemo pill I’ve been on isn’t doing the trick. So I will be starting IV chemo November 30th. My first thought? Here we go again...losing my hair! But I am grateful there is another treatment to turn to and hope like crazy it shrinks all the tumors. It’s such a different feeling going through chemo for the second time. Knowing what to expect is making it easier. My hope is that as long as the cancer doesn’t spread to any vital organs I will be okay.
On a lighter note...what’s everyone making for Thanksgiving? I am making that infamous green bean casserole for the first time. I found a great recipe online where I will make it from scratch. Well, the sauce anyway. I’m gonna add sliced almonds for an extra crunch!
I think of all of my pink sisters here often and hope ya’ll are enjoying life!
Love, Karen H.
