Today was our local Komen Race for the Cure. I've participated as a survivor in the past 7 - it causes me to pause at the start to thank God for what he has done for me and I ask that he put his blessings upon all those who hear the words - you have breast cancer. The shear amount of people and the feeling of love and support today overwhelms me.
Just as this site has always made me feel welcomed and supported - I pray each day for all that visit this site.
My Mom passed away in June. I remember when I came home from the hospital after my mastectomy - she made me chicken soup and took care of me until she finally had to say - get out there - get back into life. So today, I'm praying for her as well and thanking God for giving me just the right Mother - she took care of me so well and told me when to get out and live again.
Bless you all - keep encouraging each other, keeping praying for each other and be there for each other when we need someone just to listen. Mom was 92 1/2 - she completed her mission -
