I went to a couple of support groups before my treatments started and received two very important pieces of advice.
One was to stay busy to keep my mind off what was happening (you're past that point!).
The second one was to immediately start a light exercise program. I was basically sitting on my rear at the time, so I started walking a little. I worked it up to half an hour, and walked all through chemo (4 months) and radiation. It helped me tremendously. I still walk and do some bike riding when the weather cooperates.
Another thing, be sure you are eating right. Too much sugar, soft drinks, anything white, etc. will zap your energy.
Hope this helps.
