Hi Diane...really sorry you are going through this. A cancer diagnosis can be very scary and the treatment can be just as scary. It's been 5 years for me. I initially had a lumpectomy and the doctors recommended chemo and radiation. I was very upset about the treatment plan. I was assured by the radiologist and the oncologist that without doing both the cancer would come back. I made a personal decision..... not advising you to do this.... to remove both breast. I still had to have chemotherapy but radiation was no longer necessary because of where the tumor was sitting. My tumor was triple negative so tamoxifen was not an option for me. If it was, I would have taken it. I think it's wonderful that you were able to change your eating habits. Pray about your treatment and go with what you have peace with. You'll be fine, women on this board have dealt with a lot worse. Hopefully more will post.
Blessings to you!
