so sorry to hear about your recurrence....or my breast surgeon stated sometimes it's just a totally new cancer and not recurrence from the original CA...whatever...it's the nature of the beast that there's always a chance we can get a new diagnosis...but you beat it once, you can do it again...I had 2 tumors at diagnosis..one was in situ, but the larger one was invasive and ended up going to one lymph node...but I'm doing great...in my case, I was advised that surgery and chemo don't always get every cancer cell...I had a lumpectomy/chemo but opted to get radiation also because it cut my chances from recurrence from 30% down to 5%...I also take a preventative pill...3 yrs out and doing great...I'm sure many ladies' cancers on here were invasive and are doing good...depending on the type you have this time, there's probably lots of treatment options that weren't available 2 yrs ago..ask lots of questions and even get 2nd & 3rd opinions to make the best decision possible for you and what you are comfortable with...
Feel free to visit this site often if you have further questions/concerns..keep us posted... Hang in there, there's always hope
