When you are first diagnosed,at least for me, you went with whatever the Onc tells you. What was an eye opener with my 1st Onc is he would not answer any of my questions but I thought he was too busy and I didn't want him to take all that much time with me if someone else needed him--Brave of me wasn't it. Well, after my chemo he wasn't there anymore and I heard he was fired. That word fired stuck with me and I thought well if the hospital could fire a doctor I sure can too. Later on, with the Oncs I had and not listening to me, made me realize that if something happens to me they would only move my file from open to close.
