Soreness is common at 2 weeks and may continue. A bag of frozen peas worked wonders for me. If you are unsure, ask your oncologist and don't be shy about peppering him or her with questions. They are the experts and there is nothing you can ask that they haven't heard before. Better to ask than to leave the office wondering. My lumpectomy was more than 2 years ago, and I still have soreness especially when I bump into something or my dogs jump on me. At every appointment, I ask my oncologist about the soreness and she says it is normal and may last years. I also have a very hard spot where the incision was and she said that is normal scar tissue and may never go away.
