I'm very sorry for all the anxiety you feel. As someone who also has several anxiety disorders (long before cancer), I can certainly understand how difficult the waiting must be, especially if the meds are not helping right now. My suggestion is to do whatever will help you get through the time between now and when you find out the results. Unfortunately, with severe anxiety disorders, logic regarding the situation (e.g., it may not be cancer) is often over-ridden by the intense anxiety. That being said, if you can stay very busy, that will help you focus on other things. E.g., see a movie, spend time with friends, shop, paint, write, listen to music, go see a band, attend a festival, go shopping, engage in a hobby, etc. One of things that really helped me was to call a friend who has a worse problem than mine just to lend support by listening or seeing what I can do to help. That's the one thing that helps give me perspective and also helps a friend at the same time. Not sure if any of that helps, but do know that I will be sending you positive energy.
Hugs and prayers,
Mary
