My physical therapist, who specializes in lymphedema, and my Onc said I didn't need a sleeve to fly, and I fly alot. I was told that a compression sleeve isn't considered necessary any longer, unless I develop lymphedema. If one gets measured for a sleeve, then gains 10 lbs, the sleeve could actually cause lymphedema. My arm was measured right at the end of treatment. 5 years later it's pretty much the same add the other arm.
I'm very careful with that arm. Wear gloves while working in the yard. No tight jewelry of any kind. No tight clothing, especially sleeves or bras.
Take care of any injury right away, and always lift with both arms.
Hope this helps. HUGS.
