At 38 I felt a lump under my arm. It was painful to touch so I went to the doctor and was told it was a swollen lymph node caused by a respiratory infection. Every month during my monthly cycle the painful lump came. I continued to check it out and was constantly told it was nothing to be concerned about. At 45 I felt a lump in my breast on the opposite side. I was scared to death because I thought the lump under my arm was cancer and it had spread to the other side. Turned out the new lump was cancer, the side I had worried about for all of those years was nothing. There was no evidence of any spreading. That was 2012 and after going through surgery and chemo, I'm doing well. Our minds can definitely do a number on us.
I hope all is well with you! Blessings!
