My question to you is - who gave you your diagnosis? I had a mammogram, an ultrasound,, and then two days later a needle core biopsy, which gave us the diagnosis. The center called me and asked me to come in to discuss the results of that, which was a clear indication that it was cancer. Did they tell you to call a certain doctor as a followup to the diagnosis, or did they tell you to "see a surgeon."
I was fortunate in that my needle biopsy was done in conjunction with a hospital center, so they had a list of doctors associated with that cancer center. there was also a care coordinator who scheduled my appointments with a surgeon, an oncologist and a radiation oncologist. I met with them all within 2 weeks of diagnosis. This was ten years ago and like they say, "Results may vary."
