When I first was diagnosed the chat line was very active. Zoe and I would chat for hours. When I was diagnosed with mucinous cancer the first time I went on looking for someone who had it as it is rare. Janet Arnold was my life saver then as she had that kind. The second kind was lobular and as a RN I was more aware of it .I loved Zoe saying " Put your big girl pants on" I hate whiners or people who say why me My answer is"why not me I'm no better than anyone else affected by this".My recent bout started in April when i woke up and could not stand .My balance is still unsteady and may always be. I have had ear problems for years and don't know if this has any connection to the metastases They didn't find the bone mets until July when my hgb was down to 6.4 and i had 3 units of blood. My oncologist said the femera would work in 2-3 months and bring my blood up and sure enough it is up to 10.3 I had tried all the aromatose inhibitors and tamoxifen with terrible side effects .Now the femera seems ok .I guess because it has something to work on.Am having ct scan ,bone scan Tues. and Wed and see my onc next week s i will know how things are going. Will post my outcome I was walking with a walker and after 1 week on the femara I was able to walk on my own Still walk like a drunk at times especially in the evening when I get tired
