I am 10 years out. I am a different person than I was before bc. I am more able to deal with negative things that hit me after it, since bc is such an "event." I also starting taking antidepressant after bc. The thing is -- we get bc and survive it, forgetting that that may not be the only malady we get in our lives! I believe it is "normal" to feel emotional after such a process - baring our breasts to everyone under the sun - losing our modesty, having all these appointments. But, you can rise above and take this as an opportunity to do something you didn't do before bc -- try a new hobby -- I actually went on an airboat ride in Florida that I wouldn't have risked doing. Take care. Happy New Year!
