It's important to visit the dentist. My dentist told me that chemo can really dry your mouth, and this dryness can cause dental problems, along with any other problems that might just occur naturally. After all my chemo was over, and I was allowed to brush my teeth again, I used Biotene toothpaste, as the dentist recommended, and I was told to brush very very gently. Also, the dentist recommended Biotene mouthwash several times a day. I did have mouth sores during chemo and used prescription Miracle Mouthwash during chemo and the salt water/baking soda wash, so my situation might be different from yours.
