You can sure bet the no good insurance companies are in on this one. My mammograms are considered diagnostic because of problems, so I have to pay out WAY MORE. I also have to get an ultra sound each year too. The cost of both test, & the added cost of having them read, which why wouldn't you want them read, cost me $1300.00. This is with me having insurance I pay out $500.00 for. I might as well throw that $500.00 a month out the window, it provides me NOTHING, but gives free healthcare to someone else. Personally I think if someone is having problems they shouldn't have to pay more. I've yet to receive a free mammogram. I will continue to get mammograms yearly regardless of what they say. I am very concerned for others because they won't realize this, and figure it's OK to not get one. I am going to continue to also self check, it doesn't take long, & it's crazy not to.
