Hi ladies. I went for a mammogram a few weeks ago and then got a message that they needed me to come back for more pictures of my right breast. I wasn't at all concerned because I have been called back before. I think they said because of the size of my breasts or the density or something like that, but in any case it was always fine. This time they told me I had micro calcifications and wanted me to have a stereo static biopsy, which is scheduled for October 13th. My doctor also I make an appointment with the breast surgeon for about a week after my biopsy? Is this common practice to make an appointment with the surgeon before even knowing results of the biopsy? I found out that my bi-rads were a four, but don't know if it was an a,b, or c. Also, what can I expect during/ after the biopsy? Thanks for any info you can share.
