Hi Pamela,
Sorry you had to find us but glad that you did. You'll find a safe place here - so vent, ask questions, & share feelings and know that you are not alone.
I think it's great that you're trying to keep a positive outlook & watch funny movies. I believe that God has given me a goofy personality which has helped me deal with life, in general and especially, the breast cancer. I'm 43 and was diagnosed with stage 1 in June 2009, had a lumpectomy in July, & then a mastecomy in August. I started chemo in Sept and am having Chemo #3 (of 4) this Wed. My honey & I have 3 cutie pies ages 11, 8, and 6. We needed to include them in this journey and make it not-so-scary for them. So having fun with the kids and continuing to live our lives is important. Faith in God, family & friends, and the gals here have helped me during this journey. We are here for you too, Pamela!
Please know that there will be times when you will feel sad and very down, and that is perfectly fine. Be sad, cry, mourn, vent, rant, do whatever you need to do acknowledge & release those feelings. We can't always be UP, if you know what I mean.
I'll be keeping you and your family in my thoughts & prayers, Sweetie.
Gentle hugs from VA,
Jeanne
