Hi
I finished my herceptin in April and I went through simular emotions. I think part of it is is being "cut loose". There is some comfort going to the treatment center and touching base. Then all of a sudden the day you have been waiting for is there and out the door you go. So much time and energy is put into fighting the disease and then once done with the treatment you kinda wonder... what now? Everyone expects you to go back to life before breast cancer but I don't think life after breast cancer is ever normal again. Every day you see a body that has been altered one way or the other, finger and toes that have lost feeling and a headache you imagine turns into brain mets. Pace yourself. It is important to get good sleep, eat a healthy diet and get some exercise. Put a headset on with good music and go for a walk. Every day do something nice for yourself and someone else. Hang in there. Take one day at a time.
Blessings from NC
