I was diagnosed with breast ca after a surgical biopsy, the tumor was only 0.4 cm X 0.4cm in the right breast. 11/3/09 modified radical r mastectomy without any reconstruction. Sentinel node biopsy was done at the time of surgery and they found cancer in my sentinel node. MD was shocked that it was there, I'm off to her office today to find out what I'm supposed to do for chemotherapy now. New to this site, new to this whole thing... Supportive partner, family, trying to deep positive and watch silly movies that make me laugh. oh, I'm 48 years old and have 4 boys, ages 11-22, (had my mastectomy on my son's 22nd birthday) he's not going to forget that. Thanks for a place to vent and to say what I feel and it is ok to be afraid. But, I am going to be alright.
